Annual Dinner

The Club holds events throughout the summer and less frequently during the winter.  These are largely informal.  Summer events comprise cruises for the larger boats, dinghy racing and sailing, and training for the younger club members.  Events are planned at the start of the year but are updated on a regular basis.  An events calendar is posted on the club notice board and also on the club website, so members should consult either of these for the most recent plans.  All members are encouraged to become involved in any of the activities and volunteers are always welcome.

Club Night: Is on Tuesday night. In the summer the intention is to dinghy sail or carry out work at the clubhouse, followed by a sociable pint.  In the winter it is a get-together to discuss the coming season and carry out some indoor tasks.

Work Parties: The upkeep of the clubhouse and club dinghies requires work, which is carried out on a voluntary basis.  The type of work involved will be cleaning and painting, anti-fouling Flying Fifteens at the start of the year, and basic repair tasks.  If any members wish to carry out any specific tasks or make suggestions towards the upkeep of Club infrastructure, members of the Committee will be pleased to hear from them.

Racing : The Club has an annual regatta and also has dinghy racing on a monthly basis.  Winners of the various race events will be qualify for a club trophy, these are presented at the Club Christmas dinner.

Social events: The main events during the year are:

Tanera Regatta: Comprising two nights on Tanera Mor, larger boats will sail out, and those without boats can camp on the island.  Sailing and a barbeque make for a relaxed and enjoyable weekend.
Ullapool Regatta Weekend: The main racing of the year with a barbeque on the Saturday at the clubhouse.
Christmas Dinner: At a venue in the village with the awarding of prizes and of course the Commodores speech!
Club A.G.M:  The usual A.G.M formalities followed by a basket supper and quiz.

Training events planned for this year are: Pico sailing for youngsters.
